Terms of Use
Terms of Use
Effective date: 24.10.2026
1. About findpls
findpls helps people contact the owner of an item through a QR-linked webpage. These Terms apply to findpls.com, its account area and finder pages (the “Service”).
The Service is operated by FindPLS, at Turkiye (“we”, “us” or “our”). Contact us at findplscom@gmail.com.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information; agreement to these Terms does not replace any separate consent required by law.
2. What the Service does
Account holders can create and manage tags, download labels, provide a message for finders and receive messages about their items. A person who opens an active tag link can use the available contact options without creating an account.
findpls is not a GPS tracker, emergency service, insurer or guarantee of recovery. A tag does not continuously transmit an item's location. Location information supplied by a finder may be incomplete or inaccurate. Recovery depends on someone finding the item and choosing to help.
Scanning a code does not necessarily send the owner a message or notification. Notifications depend on the actions taken, the settings enabled and delivery through the relevant services.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 to create and manage an account. An adult may manage tags for a child's belongings. Do not publish a child's address, routine or other unnecessary identifying details.
Provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. Use the password-reset process if needed, and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access. Do not share an account in a way that exposes another person's messages or information.
You may create a tag only for an item you own or are authorised to manage. Possession of a tag, tag ID or link is not proof of ownership of the underlying item.
4. Tags and public information
Treat a QR code and its destination link as public: anyone who obtains or receives a copy can open the finder page while it is available. Do not put passwords, payment details, identity-document numbers or other sensitive information in owner notes or printed labels.
Review the finder page before attaching a tag. Where optional phone or email contact settings are available, enable them only if you want people with access to the link to use those details. Updating or disabling information cannot remove screenshots, copies or messages already received by other people.
Pausing or deleting a tag affects its availability in the Service. It does not remove a printed label from an item, and it does not necessarily erase existing messages or records. Data requests are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Messages and acceptable use
Use the Service for genuine item-return communication, account management and support. Do not impersonate another person, send spam or abusive messages, make fraudulent claims, demand payment through threats, upload unlawful content or use tags to stalk or monitor people.
Do not try to access another user's account, bypass security controls, harvest personal information, interfere with the Service or automate activity in a way that disrupts it.
You remain responsible for what you submit and must have permission to share another person's information. You retain your rights in your content. You allow us to store, process and display it only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service and meet applicable legal obligations.
6. Returning an item safely
We do not verify every message, finder or ownership claim. Confirm relevant details before handing over an item. Avoid sharing unnecessary personal information, use a suitable public meeting place where appropriate and follow local rules for lost property. Contact the appropriate authorities for emergencies or suspicious situations.
Arrangements between owners and finders are their responsibility. We do not promise transport, shipping, rewards or compensation.
7. Availability and notifications
The Service needs compatible devices and an internet connection for online features. Email and push notifications may be delayed, blocked or unavailable. Check your account rather than relying exclusively on notifications.
We may maintain, update or change features. Where reasonably practicable, we will give notice of material changes that adversely affect existing users. We do not promise uninterrupted access or indefinite operation of a tag or the Service.
8. Suspension and account closure
We may restrict an account or tag where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks or legal requirements. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the restriction and provide an opportunity to contact support. Urgent protective action may be taken without advance notice.
You may stop using the Service and request account closure by emailing findplscom@gmail.com. We may need proportionate information to verify that the request is yours. Closing an account does not automatically require deletion of every record; see the Privacy Policy.
9. Ownership of the Service
The findpls name, Pip mascot, website design and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use provided labels for their intended item-identification purpose. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our branding or software to you.
10. Responsibility and legal rights
We will exercise reasonable care in providing the Service. Subject to mandatory law, we do not guarantee that an item will be found, returned or protected from theft, or that messages will always be accurate or delivered.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by false claims, another person's conduct or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or any mandatory consumer rights. These Terms do not remove responsibility that applicable law places on us.
11. Changes, law and contact
We may revise these Terms. We will update the effective date and provide appropriate notice of material changes. Where consent or acceptance is legally required, we will request it; changes will not be treated as retroactively waiving your rights.
